Eugene Rocha Fitta Jr.

Eugene Rocha Fitta Jr., 85, of Bel Air, MD passed away on April 14, 2015 at his home. Born in East Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Eugene Rocha Fitta Sr. and Rosa DeSantos (Machedo) Fitta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Electrical and Aeronautical Engineering. In 1994 he retired from Westinghouse where he was an engineer. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Bishop Sebastian Council where he was Past Grand Knight. He managed Harford Park Little League where he was a Past President. For 15 years he volunteered for AARP Taxes and for about 30 years was a Square Dance Caller for The Satellites, The Starlighters and The EZA. He was an avid gardener, loved bird watching and knew their calls.

Mr. Fitta is survived by his wife of 63 years come May 10, Helen T. (Obrycki) Fitta; daughter, Diane M. Muhler and husband, Paul, of Bel Air; sons, Ronald Lee Fitta of Baltimore and Kevin D. Fitta and ex-wife Patricia and close friend Annette McGann, all of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Nicole McKew, Eric Muhler, Brian Fitta, Michael Fitta, Sarah Hemstetter; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Gavin McKew.

Pallbearers will be Michael Fitta, Brian Fitta, Chris McKew, Eric Muhler, Rob Hemstetter and Gary Levere.
