Eugene Brece Fleming, age 65, of Abingdon, MD, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Born in Forest Hill, MD, he was the son of the late Perry Carl and Ethel M. Fleming. Mr. Fleming was retired as Chief of Computer Operations at Aberdeen Proving Grounds after 26 years. He enjoyed being an umpire for softball and was a pitcher in Aberdeen on Post and at Harford Community College. He was a member of the American Legion Post #17 in Edgewood, MD. Being the founder of the Rock and Roll Revue DJ Service and later adding Karaoke, he was well known at the Big "M" car shows in Churchville and played for 28 years at Winters Run Inn and at Normars. Gene and Lee later formed a singing group and by putting on the show "Grease" the group raised money for cancer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his fiancée of 15 years, Lee Hamill; his son, Michael Fleming and wife, Joanne; and grandson, Joseph Fleming.
