Eugene Aloysius Fox

January 19, 1929 — September 14, 2009

Eugene Aloysius Fox, age 80, of Fallston, MD, died on September 14, 2009 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William J. and Stella Krocheski Fox. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from Peabody Press in Baltimore, where he worked with his brothers, William and John. He was very involved with Fallston Parks and Recreation where he coached basketball, softball, baseball, and brought girl's soccer to Harford County in 1978, and as a scout master, he was instrumental in returning scouts to St. Mark's parish. He also coached women's unlimited softball, taking his team to the national tournament, and was very supportive of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the many sports that they were involved in. He enjoyed traveling, his vegetable garden, and at Christmas, he loved decorating with Christmas lights. He loved his dogs and was often heard to say "Never be without a dog"!

Mr. Fox is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Sanyour Fox; daughters, Catherine Marie Kowalewski and Teresa Ann Branscome; son, Eugene W. Fox; sons-in-law, Dale Bunce, Fred Branscome, and John "Boe" Kowalewski; grandchildren, Lindsay and Ryan Bunce, Karen and Brett Kowalewski, and Jacob and Gwen Branscome; great-grandson, Lucas "Butch" Bunce; sisters, Lucille Ciganek and Gertrude Hennessey; sisters-in-law, Rita Fox and Bernadine Fox; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Jean Bunce; and brothers and sisters, William H. Fox, John J. Fox, Estelle Lippa, and Eleanor Miskimon.

Pallbearers will be Dale Bunce, Ryan Bunce, Fred Branscome, Jacob Branscome, Boe Kowalewski, Brett Kowalewski, and Lucas Bunce.
