Esther "Sandy" Alicia Govia-Delannoy

Esther "Sandy" Alicia Govia-Delannoy, 59, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. Born in St. Kitts she was the daughter of Elvin Emillen and Vida (Matthews) Wilson-Carter and the beloved wife of 24 years to Michael Delannoy.

Sandy was a vibrant soul who loved life and people, never meeting a stranger she didn’t embrace with warmth and kindness. She cherished family holidays and vacations, creating memories that kept her loved ones close. Known as the glue of the family, Sandy’s generosity, love, and strength were unmatched.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, Michael; her children, Jermanine Stagg, Lance Pietrzak, Sasha Govia, Sarah Delannoy and Michael Delannoy; and her treasured grandchildren, Natalie Alavez, Noel Alavez, and Kollie Pietrzak.

Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Tyler Pietrzak, and five siblings, whose memories she carried dearly.
