Esther I. Smith

ESTHER I. SMITH, age 93, of Street, MD, died on November 9, 2006, at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Harmony, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wade and Sarah Frances Hodge Crouse and the wife of the late Thomas Smith. She was a homemaker, an avid cook and gardener, and loved to can. She was the Rosie the Riviter at Glen L. Martin during WWII.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Oleman D. Smith and his wife Joyce Ann of Havre de Grace, MD; six grandchildren, Cinda Jean Caudill of Elkton, MD, Trina Faye Dowell of Havre de Grace, MD, Thomas Dwight Smith of Melbourne, FL, Sandra Ann Anderson of Havre de Grace, MD, Sheila Kay Bryan of Havre de Grace, MD, and Alice I. Vickers, of Bel Air, MD; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deborah Elaine Fitzpatrick.

Pallbearers were Jim Bryan, Bill Bryan, Eric Dowell, David Dowell, Bob Caudill, Gary Anderson, and Tom Smith.
