Essie Holt Webster

Essie Salome Holt Webster died on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living. She was 98 years old. Born in Callaway, VA on May 4, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Jennie Green Holt and D.J. Holt. She was the widow of Carl G. Webster, to whom she was married for 65 years. A resident of Harford County since 1937, Essie was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Carson W. Webster of Sykesville, MD and B. Keith Webster and wife, Patricia, of The Villages, FL; one sister, Della Holt Lipscombe of Mechanicsville, VA; six grandchildren, Sharon Krummel Connell of The Villages, FL, Susan L. Webster of Frankford, DE, Deborah A. Ragan of Inverness, FL, Brian J. Webster of Pasadena, MD, Patricia D. Redcay of Quarryville, PA and Gregory J. Webster of Hollywood, MD; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by five sisters, Lucy Nichols, Grace Bowman, Dessie Stewart, Retha Hawley and Flossye Clingenpeel; two brothers, J. Fletcher Holt and James Holt; and her daughter-in-law, Teresa Lynch Webster.

Pallbearers will be Brian Joseph Webster, grandson, Gregory James Webster, grandson, Luke Webster Redcay, great grandson, Braden Robert Redcay, great grandson, Peter Edward Krummel, great grandson and Kenneth Dean Regan, grandson-in-law.
