Ernest C. Muths Jr., age 87, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 26, 2009 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest Conrad Muths Sr. and Marian Waters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a pilot in World War II. He worked for Waverly Press printing and publishing company where he was a Personnel Director for over 35 years. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church serving on many committees, including chairing the building committee for Calvary's last major building project. He loved the fellowship of his church and especially enjoyed singing in the church choir. He was an avid bowler since a young age playing on numerous bowling leagues. He enjoyed watching all sports and was especially fond of the Baltimore Orioles. He was adored by his four great-grandchildren and very devoted to them.
Mr. Muths is survived by his wife, Jeanette Poole Muths of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Deborah Carol Bush and husband, Joseph, of Kingsville, MD; sister, Selma Staehlin of Reisterstown, MD; granddaughter, Hollin I. Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Conrad Kutzke, Raechal Lash, Joshua Weaver, and Mitchel Weaver.
Pall bearers are Phil Kilby, Joe Hora, Don Basserman, Roy Edmondson, Dave Judy, Jim Little and Ernie Owens.
