Erma R. Brooks

ERMA R. BROOKS, age 83, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on July 16, 2006 at the Harford Memorial Hospital. Born in Bellwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Paul and Dessie Jane Parson Johnson, and the wife of the late Melvin R. Brooks. She was formerly a resident of Altoona, PA where she was a past-member of Salem Lutheran Church. She worked for Gable’s Department Store there for many years. In 1983 she moved to Abingdon, MD with her daughter. After her relocation to Abingdon, she worked at the Rite Aid store in Box Hill until her retirement in 1999 where she loved her job.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by three daughters, Saundra Lee Ferguson, and her husband, William R. Ferguson, Jr., of Sylvania, GA, Gloria J. Diehl, and her husband, David L. Diehl, of Havre de Grace, MD and Joyce E. Lord, and her husband, Gregory T. Lord, of Waynesboro, PA; one brother, John Jay Johnson of Avondale Estates, GA; one sister, Naomie Rudy of Huntingdon, PA, five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
