Erma Agnes Protokowicz

Erma Protokowicz went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2024 at Lorien in Bel Air, at the age of 94.

 Erma was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 5, 1930, to William and Louise Winkelman. She was a life-long Maryland resident, moving from Baltimore City to Joppatowne with husband Frank Protokowicz, Jr., (deceased 2003) and their five children in 1963.

 Erma served 10 years with the local Girl Scouts as an assistant leader. After the children were raised, she went to work for the Harford County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker at Joppatowne High School, working her way up to cafeteria manager. Erma retired after 21 years of service.

 Post-retirement, she and husband Frank spent six weeks touring National Parks across America. They loved taking cruises and enjoyed camping with her family. Her favorite hobbies were playing bingo and crocheting.

 Erma is survived by her five children, Diane Abbott, and husband George, (Port Saint Lucie, FL), Beverly Wells and husband Neil (Joppa MD), Gail Wilson (Bel Air, MD), Frank Protokowicz, III and wife Ruth (Reisterstown, MD), and Joseph Protokowicz and wife Robin (Kernersville, NC), 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
