Erma Gibson

July 14, 1926 — February 16, 2015

Erma was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on July 14, 1926 to Solomon Kelly and Audrey Holder Edwards. She attended Sparta High School in Sparta. She married William (Bill) A. Gibson in 1942 and they were married for over 72 years. They moved to Harford County, Maryland in February 1943.

Erma had two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Sherman (deceased) and Audrey Gail Gibson of Bel Air, MD, and one grandson, Timothy S. Sherman. She had three sisters, Madge Ford (deceased), Lois Sidden (deceased), and Fern Delp (deceased) and one brother, Robert Lee Edwards all of Sparta, NC. She has many loving nieces and nephews from Maryland to North Carolina.

Besides being a homemaker, she worked for the Glen Eagles Manufacturing Company in Bel Air and in the food service department for the Harford County Public Schools. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 60 years, and she served in many church activities including Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, Girls Auxiliary, Chair of the Kitchen Committee and 19 years of service with the Pace Setters.

She was everyone's Mom and "Mom-Mom" and we are all blessed to have loved her and have her in our lives.
