It is with great sadness that the family of Epifania "Fanny" Ariza Ceniza announces her passing on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. She was 73.
Fanny was the wife of the late Dr. Vicente Melicor Ceniza. She will be forever remembered by her children: one son, Dr. Adolfo Noel Ceniza, of Petoskey, Mich.; five daughters, Dr. Jeorgea Peters, of Fallston, Amelia Hentschel, of Bel Air, Jane Albino of Cebu, Philippines, Grace Chica, of Abingdon, and Minnie Tampus, of Bel Air; two brothers, Melanio and Dionisio Ariza of the Philippines, and ten grandchildren.
A native of the Philippines, Fanny attended Centro Escolar University in Manila with a degree in pharmacy. During her career, she owned and managed two pharmacies in Cebu City; Ceniza Pharmacy and Vida Drug. In 1994, she joined the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) and became a Secular Carmelite. Twelve years ago, Fanny retired from her pharmacy business and moved to the US. She was an active member of the Carmelite Sisters in Towson. She loved gardening, traveling and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Fanny to the Carmelite Sisters of Baltimore, 1318 Dulaney Valley Rd, Towson, MD 21286.
