Emily Duroska Vesely

Emily Duroska Vesely, age 88, of Abingdon, MD, died on March 19, 2010 at her son's home in Abingdon. Born in Ziar, Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of Matthew and Anna Duroska and wife, for 40 years, of the late John William Vesely. She had immigrated to America from Czechoslovakia at the age of 16 to save her family's farm. A member of the McFaul Senior Center in Bel Air, she enjoyed living at the Parkview Senior Apartments in Abingdon.

Mrs. Vesely is survived by her sons, Richard C.Vesely and wife, Pamela J., of Abingdon, MD, and William F. Vesely and wife, Gail L., of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Phoenix, MD; and three grandchildren, Michael R. Vesely of Baltimore, MD, Meredith A. Easley of Pineville, NC, and Megan J. Vesely of Abingdon, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael Duroska; and sisters, Emma and Anna Duroska.
