Elva Rose Bachman

July 13, 1927 — August 9, 2005

ELVA ROSE CHEEK BACHMAN, of Bel Air passed away on August 9, 2005 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old. Born in Bel Air, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Mack and Patty Ruth Crouse Cheek.

Ms. Bachman was a beautician and an accomplished musician. She and her late husband, Leo S. Bachman, were avid country music enthusiasts. Through the years, Ms. Bachman performed locally and frequently entertained at family gatherings.

Ms. Bachman is survived by her brother, Larry Cheek of Bel Air; five sisters, Edna Stamper of Mountain City, Tennessee, Jean Rowland of Bel Air, Delores Williams of Harrington, Delaware, Wanda Keith of Elk Creek, Virginia, and Shirlene Moffett of Mountain City, Tennessee; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Hincher and a brother, Otis Cheek.

Services were private.
