Elva Elizabeth Dukes

ELVA ELIZABETH DUKES, age 80, of Joppa, MD, died on November, 2, 2006 at Upper Chespeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Perryville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Cooley and Mary Elizabeth Flood Weaver and the wife of the late Edward Jesse Dukes Sr. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and was loved by all.

Mrs. Dukes is survived by one son, Edward J. Dukes Jr. of Riverside, MD; one brother, Curtis Weaver Sr. of Perryville, MD; two sisters, Gertrude Bines of Perryville, MD and Mary Jane Cherubini of Philadelphia, PA; three grandchildren, Lesa McCaffery of Williamsburg, VA, William H. Miller Jr. of Ocean City, MD and Edward J. Dukes III of Bel Air, MD; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Miller and a brother, John Thomas Weaver.
