Elva Catherine Keene

ELVA CATHERINE KEENE, age 92, of Forest Hill, MD, died on June 16, 2008 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation in Belcamp, MD. Born in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Frederick and Jennie Akerley Hoffman and wife of the late Clinton Leroy Keene. She lived most of her life on Mountain Road in Joppa and was a member of Edgewood Assembly of God Church for many years. A kind and loving person, she was very friendly with other people. She loved working in the garden and with her flowers. Church and family were most important to her.

Mrs. Keene is survived by two daughters, Anna Mae Williams of Baltimore, MD and Jennie Hall and her husband, Dick, of Forest Hill, MD; one sister, Gloria Gaultney of Joppa, MD; three grandsons, Dana Williams and his wife, Michele, of Baltimore, MD, Rick Hall and his wife, Tammy, of Greensboro, NC, and Mark Hall of Forest Hill, MD; four great-grandchildren, Tony and Sean Williams of Baltimore, MD, and Abigail and Madison Hall of Greensboro, NC; and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Savannah Williams, both of Baltimore, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn Mast and Florence Suite; and a brother, Charles Hoffman.

Pallbearers will be Rick Hall, Tony Williams, Sean Williams, Dick Hall, Basil Gaultney, and Jeremy Akers.
