Elsie Lee Schreckengost

Elsie Lee Schreckengost, age 92, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on October 14, 2023 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Churchville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Gentry and Hazel (Houck) Gentry and wife of the late Billie Schreckengost. Elsie was a longtime member of Bel Forest Baptist Church and was very devoted to being a very good Christian. She was an avid gardener and found joy in planting flowers. She loved yard sales and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

Elsie is survived by her three sons, Michael Stamper and his wife Linda, David Stamper and his wife Michele, and Larry Stamper and his wife Nancy; two brothers, Bower and Gardiner Gentry; sister, Doris Greer; six grandchildren, Kadie Thompson, Chad Stamper, Sarah Prediger, Ryan Stamper, Jesse Stamper, and Ashley Williams; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Billy Gentry, and sisters, Charlotte Loveland and Ann Taylor.
