Elsie Mitchell Cullum

Elsie Mitchell Cullum, age 93, of Bel Air, MD, died on October 8, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Calvary, MD. She was the daughter of the late George Winfield and Margaret Katharine Bechtold Mitchell, and wife of the late Roland R. Cullum. She had worked for Harford County Public Schools for 30 years, where she was a food service manager. She was a member, and past president, of both Rebekah Assembly of Maryland and Rainbow Rebekah Lodge #95 in Churchville, MD. She was also a member of the Community Chapel in Churchville, Churchville Golden Age Club, where she enjoyed being the Activities Director, and was a past member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Cullum is survived by her sons, Neil Cullum and wife, Mattie, of Bel Air, MD and Russell R. Cullum and wife, Dolores, of Brogue, PA; daughter, Cora C. Cockerham and husband, Paul, of Aberdeen, MD; sister, Clara Crytser of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, son, Gene W., and parents, she was predeceased by one brother and six sisters.

Pallbearers were Gregory, Brian, and David Cullum, Gene, Daniel, and Mark Cockerham, and Keith Daugherty. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Cullum, Pamela Daugherty, and Penny Brown.
