Elsie Madeline Lama, age 85, of Van Bibber, MD, passed away on January 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, MD. Born in Tyaskin, MD, she was the daughter of the late Scott Ross and Bessie Cook. Wife, for 53 years, of the late Eugene F. Lama. Before retiring, she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as an Explosive Coordinator. She was deeply devoted to her family. She was a championship archer. She was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. She enjoyed going to her hairdresser, shopping, crossword puzzles, antique cars, traveling, painting, dancing, dining out, country music, playing cards and games with her family and an avid weather watcher. Additionally, she loved celebrating special occasions with her family and the friendly employees at Panera Bread.
Mrs. Lama is survived by her son, Michael G. Lama and wife, Pamela, of Smithsburg; daughters, Beverly A. Webster and husband, Edward, of Abingdon and Cheryl Susie Kemper of Aberdeen; sister, Mary Lamb of Villanova, PA; grandchildren, Denise Krebs and husband, Josh, Christopher Webster and Kim Baur of Bel Air, Matthew Webster and Caitlin Fultz, and Rachelle Webster of Abingdon, Chelsea Kemper of Aberdeen, Kelly Lama of Hyattsville, James Lama of Hedgesville, WV,; and great-grandchildren, Kylie Magness, Wyatt Krebs, Luke, Skylar, Kaylee, Juliette, Michael and Mikellah Lama. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Christopher Kemper; brothers, Willie and Lloyd Ross; and grandson, Sean Ross Kemper.
