Elsie M. Pugh of Abingdon died February 13 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium. She was 84.
Born Elsie Marguerite Wolfe in Marion, Va., she was the daughter of the late Otho Blair Wolfe and Mary Ellen Hale Wolfe.
A homemaker and hand quilter, Mrs. Pugh was a longtime member, and served on the Board of Trustees, of Presbury United Methodist Church in Edgewood. During World War II, and shortly thereafter, she worked at the Edgewood Arsenal’s gas mask and munitions factories.
Mrs. Pugh is survived by her son, David C. Pugh of Baltimore; two daughters, Linda C. Walls of Abingdon, and Jane L. McClard of Baltimore; two grandsons, Adam C. McClard of Shanghai, China, and Evan C. Pugh of Baltimore; daughter-in-law Cami Colarossi of Baltimore; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband M. Cebert Pugh; a grandson, Robert I. Walls, Jr.; and three brothers and two sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Wolfe, Barry Wolfe, Doug Wolfe, Steve Pape, Jeff Colarossi, and Glenn Marston. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam McClard, Dale Wolfe, Jon Wolfe, Corey Molloy, and Franklin D. Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Presbury United Methodist Church, 1928 Bayberry Rd., Edgewood, Md. 21040.
