ELLSWORTH M. OREM, age 86, of Edgewood, MD, died on April 30, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Mason and Edna May Thompson Orem. He was married to the late Katherine R. Hall Orem. He was a C.P.A. for the Sealy Mattress Company. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the march to Berlin. He was a life member of both the American Legion Post in Edgewood and the Abingdon VFW. He was a member of the Bush River Yacht Club, and was a past Commodore. His family said that he was very interested in the history of WWII, and that he enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing.
Mr. Orem is survived by two sons, Dennis D. Orem, and his wife, Shirley A. Orem, of Delmar, DE and Richard B. Orem, and his wife, Laura L. Orem, of Abingdon, MD; one sister, Jean Warner of Baltimore, MD; and five grandchildren, Nicholas T. Orem of New Iberia, LA, Christopher D. Orem of Delmar, DE, Bradley R. Orem of Bel Air, MD, Kimberly A. Shirey of Laurel, DE and Micah J. Orem of Abingdon, MD.
