Ellen H. Smith passed away December 4, 2013 in Plains, Montana. She had resided in Dover, FL, for several years with her husband, Kenneth. At the time of his passing, they had been married 38 years. She was the daughter of Grimes and Maude Holcomb, originally from Aberdeen, Maryland. She was married to Raymond Morris and together they had five children. Ellen loved to do needlepoint and enjoyed traveling. She was a wonderful cook and fed many generations of children. She was always a Daddy's Girl and a fan of stock car racing which began when her father Grimes and brothers raced in Cecil County. She also enjoyed watching races on television and rooted for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Her dearest friend was her oldest brother, Lee Holcomb.
She was preceded in death by son Paul Morris and her daughter Karen Pearce. She is survived by her sons, Howard and Greg Morris and daughter, Laurie Ballantyne; stepsons, Kenneth, Gary, Jeffrey and Timothy Smith, 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Gene and Lee Holcomb, and Grimes Jr. (Pesky) Holcomb.
