Ellen Flint Marsiglia, age 94, died on March 24, 2010 in North Carolina. Born in Fairport, VA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Nesta Elizabeth Timbs Flint and wife of the late Vincent Leonard Marsiglia. She moved to Baltimore in 1933 where she became a registered nurse, training and working at Maryland General Hospital. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, Sultanas of Alcala, where she was also past president, Church of the Nativity in Timonium for many years, a current member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood and a former resident of Rock Spring Village in Forest Hill.
Mrs. Marsiglia is survived by her son, Walter Vincent Marsiglia and wife, Paula J. of Delran, NJ; daughters, Maria Elaine Cassell and husband, Robert L. of Greenbackville, VA and Juanita Ellen Anthony and husband, Albert E. of Fuquay-Varina, NC; sister, Flora Alice Link of Fayetteville, GA, Mary Frances Jet of Callao, VA, and Joan F. Highcove of Perry Hall, MD; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, J. Leon Flint, Walter Flint, and Carlisle Flint; sister, Marcella Carlson, and grandson, Joseph Daniel Marsiglia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund for Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
