ELLAROSE E. EMMEL, age 90, of Joppa, MD, died at her home on January 30, 2008. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob H. and Anna Brandt Hohl and the wife of the late George H. Emmel, Jr. A homemaker, she was a member of Homemakers Wilna Association, the Harford Artist Association, and had studied at the Maryland Art Institute. She was also a member of the Franklinville Presbyterian Church, Bradshaw, MD where she was an elder and a member of the Women's Association. She loved to bake and enjoyed going to flea markets. She had been a 4H leader and was involved with Cub Scouts.
Mrs. Emmel is survived by a son, George "Jerry" H. Emmel III of Joppa, MD; two grandchildren, Kim A. Williams of Kingsville, MD and George H. Emmel IV of Joppa, MD; and seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn A. Kaiser, Thomas J. Kaiser, Kristen D. Williams, and Kay D. Williams, all of Kingsville, MD and Azalee H. Emmel, Angeline N. Emmel and George "Hank" H. Emmel V, all of Joppa, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, David S. Emmel and a sister, Bertha Hartman.
