Elizabeth Stancill Osborne

Elizabeth Stancill Osborne, age 89, of Reidsville, NC, died December 7, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC. Born in Pittco, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Stancill Sr. and Annie Stancill and wife of Rev. Spencer Eugene Osborne. Formerly of Bel Air, MD, she moved to Reidsville 30 years ago. She was a member of New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Sunshine Group at Fairview Baptist Church and was an avid gardener.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by her son, William H. Watson and wife, Leigh Ann, of Reidsville, NC; five daughters, Opal O. Fleming and husband, Ralph, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Sharon O. Hall of Reidsville, NC, Carolyn O. Simms and husband, Herb, of Bel Air, MD, Roselyn O. Lodge and husband, Jim, of Elizabethville, PA and Phyllis O. Byers of N. Wilkesboro, NC; her brother, Jesse Stancill Jr. of Greenville, NC; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Helen Clark and Virginia Johnston; brothers William Stancill, Elree Stancill, Alton Stancill and Jesse Willard Stancill; grandson Derrick Crabb, great granddaughter Hannah Hayworth, and great-great grandson Joshua Crabb.
