Elizabeth Galbreath Hartsock, age 94, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on June 25, 2015 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born July 27, 1920 in Street, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Sara Jane Wilson Galbreath and wife of the late Walter Guy Hartsock. She was raised on the family farm in Street, graduated in 1937 from Highland High School, and then from Baltimore Business College. She worked as a secretary for the Sunpapers, as a school crossing guard when her sons were young, and then 19 years for Prudential Insurance. She was also a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church where she worked on the bulletins. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, family reunions, playing dominoes, reading, gardening and was a fan of the Orioles.
Mrs. Hartsock is survived by her son, Robert Ernest Hartsock and his wife Catherine, of Towson; brother, James W. Galbreath and his wife Jeanne of Street; daughter-in-law Sandra J. Hartsock of Essex; grandsons Jonathan (Jill), Joshua and Jamison (Amanda) Hartsock; and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, James Clifton Hartsock and sister, Rachel Remsberg.
