Elizabeth Duffy Barrows

Elizabeth Duffy Barrows, of Churchville, MD, died on February 15, 2011 at her home. Born in Rutland, VT, she was the daughter of the late Leo B. and Susan A. Morrison Duffy. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in Education. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she taught middle school English and Math for about 10 years. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Barrows is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Austin W. Barrows Jr. of Churchville, MD; son, Patrick Austin Barrows of Hermosa Beach, CA; daughters, Lisa Ann Condon of Havre de Grace, MD, Laura Elizabeth Mascari of Bel Air, MD and Amy Susan Beckhardt of O'Fallon, MO; and grandchildren, Joseph P. Condon Jr., Daniel A. Condon, Tyler F. Condon, Danielle F. Mascari, Richard H. Mascari Jr., Angela H. Mascari, Meghan B. Beckhardt, Austin R. Beckhardt and Audrey I. Beckhardt.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, Leo, Raymond and Tommy Duffy and granddaughter, Brianna Elizabeth Condon.


Pallbearers will be children, grandchildren, and sons-in-law Joseph P. Condon Sr. and Mark A. Beckhardt.
