Elizabeth Anne Kruger, Ltc Ret.

Elizabeth Anne Kruger, LTC Retired, age 91, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 5, 2022. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Robert and Anna (Murphy) Kruger.  She was a Bronze Star awarded, 20-year veteran of the U.S.Army where she earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Betty was the first female to be named Maryland’s Catholic War Veteran of the Year.  She was an active member and Past President of the Department of MD Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.  Elizabeth penned her memoirs in a book, "First in My Life."  

Elizabeth is survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Stevens Kruger and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by, four brothers and six sisters.
