Elinor I. "Nan" Sproul

Elinor I. "Nan" Sproul, age 97, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on July 8, 2014 at Hart Heritage Estates in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Concord, MA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Fostino and Maybelle Tape Medeiros and wife of the late Robert W. Sproul.

Mrs. Sproul is survived by her son, Richard W. Sproul and wife, Ruth, of Auburn Hills, MI; daughter, Judith Pratt and husband, Walt, of Forest Hill; daughter-in-law, Maria Teresa Sproul of Coral Gables, FL; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Robert B. Sproul.

She was a graduate of Simmons College, Boston, MA, and the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing. She earned a Masters in Nursing at Boston University. She was on the nursing faculty for many years at both the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing and the Melrose-Wakefield School of Nursing.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Congregational Church, Wakefield at a date to be announced. Burial will be private.
