Elfriede R. ''Elfie'' Starkey

Elfriede R. "Elfie" Starkey of Joppa, MD passed away at the age of 86 on May 23, 2016 at her home. Elfie was born in Heidenheim, Germany to Johann Friederich Albert Reuss and Klara Majer. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's Degree and was employed as a Translator with the Social Security Administration Headquarters. She loved doing home improvements to make things look better and enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren especially her youngest, Hope. She also liked to crochet.

Survivors include her daughter Margaret S. Griffin of Joppa; her granddaughter Sandra M. Espinosa of Joppa; and her great-grandchildren Jeffrey W. Pollard, Maria H. Espinosa, Julianna I. Espinosa and Hope L. Espinosa. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Eric Starkey, Gary R. Starkey and Karl E. Starkey.
