Eleanor E. Hillebrenner

Eleanor Hillebrenner, also known to her friends as Elnora or Ellie, age 92, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on November 20, 2020 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in the Bronx, in New York City, she was the daughter of Frederick (Fritz) Zeller and Emma (Stegmaier) Zeller. Elnora was predeceased by her husband of sixty-eight years when he passed in 2016.

Elnora was a retired United Airlines Reservations Supervisor. She was a member of both The International Association of Travel Agents and The National Ceramic Association. She was a ceramic artist in New York City for 20 years where she operated her own retail ceramic studio, known as Elnora’s. Before and after retiring she loved tending to her flower gardens at their home in Churchville, Md. She and her husband were also long-time members of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Bel Air, MD.

Elnora is survived by her children, Michael W. Hillebrenner of Jersey City, NJ; Dr. Susan H. Chapman (Robert) of Kailua, HI, and Brenda Lee Hillebrenner of Kailua, HI; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and her brother, Heinz Zeller of NYC.
