Elaine "Geckie" Tich

Elaine "Geckie" Tich, age 83, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida (Jacobson) Stein and wife of the late Gerald Tich. She will be greatly missed.

Elaine is survived by her by her sister, Marcia Goldberg, daughter Debbie Lieberman and her husband Mark; son, Michael Tich Sr. and his wife Jean; daughter, Jamie Rassi and her husband Raphael, grandchildren, Kristina Higgins and her husband Brad, Michael Tich, Jr. and his wife Sangchen, Julia Cosentino-Tich and her spouse Alex Cosentino-Tich, Nicholas Jackereas and his wife Megan, Alyssa Jackereas, Jacob Rassi, Gustavo Rassi, Michael Lieberman, and Sarah Malone and her husband Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Kira & Celina Tich, James Jackereas, Brooks & Brady Malone, Aiden Lieberman, Chance Cosentino-Tich and another great-grandchild due in the spring, Baby Jackereas.

Geckie is truly a legend, known throughout Harford County for her loyalty, kindness, humor, acceptance, unwavering support, and impeccable people skills. She loved, cherished, and truly took care of her children, sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all our spouses. She was brave and a trailblazer, confidently living a full and amazing life. She loved deeply, never forgetting a holiday, game, dance recital, or trip to the ER. She was the type of person movies (or sitcoms) should be made about. Always herself. Always supportive of all of us from the very beginning. We will miss her always.

 In addition to her husband and parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Miller and grandson, Alejandro Rassi.
