Elaine O'Neill

Elaine O'Neill, a resident of Bel Air, MD, died at the age of 92 on October 3, 2016 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. She was born in Stirling, Ontario, Canada to John Henry and Almeda Beatrice (Miller) Gehan, and was the wife, for 59 years, of the late John Leo O'Neill. The marriage ceremony was performed by John's brother, Msgr. Francis J. O'Neill.

In the 1950's she worked as a legal secretary for Freeborn Brown. She was an active member, and volunteer, at St. Margaret Catholic Church and School. The family would like to thank the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House and Amedisys Hospice for their thoughtful care.

Survivors include her children, Timothy John O'Neill, Patrick Joseph O'Neill (Kerrin), Daniel Vincent O'Neill (Anne), Maureen Elaine O'Neill, Sean Eugene O'Neill (Bridget) and Michael Francis O'Neill, all of Bel Air; her brother, Bruce Gehan; her sister, Ellenore Parker; her sister-in-law, Lois Gehan; and her granddaughters, Caroline, Casey, Kathleen, Brenna, Kelley and Maura O'Neill. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Lorne and Bud Gehan, Marlene Spencer and Betty Jane Lefebvre.
