Elaine Beverly Jones

Elaine Beverly Jones, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on December 26, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William and Christine (Blume) Rehberger and the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Jones. Elaine was a dedicated member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, located at 533 E. Jarrettsville Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050.

Elaine was passionate about her role as a homemaker and took great joy in raising her five boys. Her love and devotion to her family were evident in every aspect of her life. Earlier in her life, she was employed by Glen L. Martin (where she met her beloved husband of 65 years). And was employed by the Federal Government at Edgewood Arsenal, for almost 15 years. She enjoyed working at her husband’s family produce stand, the popular Jones Farm in Harford County.

Mrs. Jones was an avid gardener and a huge football fan (she loved the Baltimore Ravens, the Maryland Terps, and the NC State Wolfpack). She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Elaine is survived by her loving sons, Robert Jones (Diane) of Churchville, MD, Michael Jones of Bel Air, MD and James Jones (Diane Lyn) of Bel Air, MD. She is also remembered fondly by her 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Rehberger and along with many close nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister-in-law who was her close friend Irene Rehberger. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Elmer Jones, Jr., father, William Edward Rehberger, mother, Christine Madeline Rehberger, sons; Kenneth Jones, III and Mark Jones, and siblings; William, Robert, Dorothy, Juanita and Christine.
