Elaine E. Lutche

October 10, 1939 — August 6, 2021

Elaine Elizabeth Lutche, 81, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on August 6, 2021 at UCMC in Bel Air, Md after a heroic battle with pneumonia. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Lawrence Bernard and Helen (Brocki) Phillips and devoted wife of 59 years to Wayne Lee Lutche. Elaine graduated from St. Agnes Nursing School in 1962 with an RN degree and worked at Union Memorial and St. Joseph’s Hospitals. After raising her children, she was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse at Fallston General and Sheppard Pratt Hospitals. Elaine loved spending time at her condo in Ocean City, Md and enjoyed traveling with her husband to Maine, the Caribbean, and Europe. Her six grandchildren were her everything, she attended every concert, dance recital, musical theatre production, cheerleading, athletic event and school ceremony that they ever participated in. Everyone in attendance remembers her clapping and cheering loudly from the auditorium and the sidelines. She also adored her five grand dogs.

In addition to her husband Wayne, Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Daniel) Ann Rosser and Laurie (Christopher) Ellen Scannell; son, Stephen (Lucy) Wayne Lutche; grandchildren, Brigitte and Stephen Lutche, Lindsay and Samuel Rosser and Erin and Megan Scannell. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Sciascia.

A celebration of life will be held at MaGerk’s Pub and Grill Bel Air on Saturday from 5-9pm, all are welcome.
