Eileen Ann Taylor

Eileen Ann Taylor, age 73, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at Sterling Care Forest Hill in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born and raised Forest Hill, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Pearl Monks. And a proud graduate of Bel Air High School.

Eileen was a dedicated community member who served as the Home League Secretary for the Salvation Army in Havre de Grace and was a former member of Christ Church Rock Spring. She carried a deep love for her hometown and a spirit of generosity that touched everyone around her.

A devoted Baltimore Orioles fan, Eileen rarely missed a game, cheering passionately for her favorite team. She found joy in the small pleasures of life—spending time with her cherished cat, Ashe, curling up with novels by Danielle Steel and Patricia Cornwell, tackling crossword puzzles, or watching her favorite game shows: Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.

Eileen was known as the decision-maker and the heart of her household, a natural leader with an endless well of love and wisdom. She embraced her role as the neighborhood grandma, brightening children’s days with donuts and candy, and always making them feel at home.

Eileen's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Eileen is survived by her son, Michael Taylor of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter, Keri Taylor of Havre de Grace, MD; grandchildren, Aidan Sluder, and Lillianna Sluder and adopted son, Ben Jackson.
