Edwin M. Leister

Edwin M. Leister, age 101, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on March 9, 2021 at his home. Born in McAlisterville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Lehman and Hazel (Spitler) Leister and husband of the late Auleen L. (Renno) Leister. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Herman, Robert; and sister, Marion Shultz.

Edwin is survived by his daughter, Kathy L. Roush of Bel Air; and three grandchildren.

He served in the 71st Regiment of the 44th Infantry Division during World War II, through France, Germany, Austria. He went on to retire from the Lockheed Martin Company as a Manufacturing Engineer after 35 years of service.

Edwin loved playing golf until the age of 92. He and Auleen enjoyed camping through much of the U.S. and parts of Canada. They also had wonderful trips to Europe and Hawaii.

A Bagpiper will be present at Graveside as well.
