Edward Wayne Townsend Sr.

Edward Wayne Townsend Sr., 78, of Edgewood, MD passed away on September 3, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of James Basil and Helen Virginia (Rutherford) Townsend and was the husband of the late Marguerite Louise Townsend. He lived an amazing life raising a large family and serving his country for 23. He was a wonderful man who touched a lot of lives. He was a member of the NRA and American Legion Post #17 in Edgewood, and also enjoyed doing home improvements.

Mr. Townsend is survived by children, Rich Townsend of Edgewood, Edward W. Townsend Jr. of Princess Anne, George E. Peterson Jr. of Thomasville, NC, Joseph R Peterson of Middle River, Terry Townsend of Abingdon, Wendy Buchwald of Joppa, Victor Buchwald of Joppa, and Angela L. Townsend of Hallam, PA; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
