Edward "Bruce" Smallwood

Edward "Bruce" Smallwood, age 64, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away on May 23, 2024, at home. Born in Harford County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Stanley Elliot Smallwood Sr. and Patricia (Doss) Smallwood, and the loving husband of the late Bonita Jo Smallwood.

Bruce had a passion for playing pool and was an active member of the Chesapeake Tap League, participating 3-4 nights a week. He was also a former member of both the APA and BCA leagues. Cooking was another of Bruce's loves, and he delighted in preparing meals for his family. Most importantly, he cherished his time spent at family gatherings. Bruce was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, bringing joy and laughter to each event.

A devoted fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Orioles, Bruce never missed a game. He also enjoyed shopping at local grocery stores, always on the hunt for the best deals.

Bruce is survived by his five siblings: Stanley Elliot Smallwood, Jr. and wife Debbie, Patricia A. Bennett, Tammy L. Renner and husband Curtis, James B. Smallwood and wife Cathy, and David P. Smallwood and wife Angie. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his cherished furbaby, Bambam.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Brian Smallwood, and brother-in-law, Donny Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Edward Bruce Smallwood Memorial Fund at First National Bank in Aberdeen, MD.
