Edward Leroy Watts, age 75, of Forest Hill, MD, died on November 29, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore County, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Thomas and Bertha Viola Grover Watts. In 1955, he had signed a Minor League contract with the Chicago White Sox as a center field player. He had been a resident of Harford County since 1994, and was past president of the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum. He enjoyed hunting in Newfoundland, New Zealand, Alberta Canada, and Texas.
Mr. Watts is survived by his sons, Michael A. Watts and wife, Terri, of Jarrettsville, MD and Barry E. Watts and wife, Karen, of Springfield, VA; daughter, Susan Testerman and husband, Tim, of Bay St. Louis, MS; sister, Bertha Imwold of Hickory, MD; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
