Edward G. Hammen Sr.

EDWARD G. HAMMEN SR., age 60, of Joppa, MD, died on March 7, 2008 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of George V. and Amelia Zyglarski Hammen of Joppa, MD. He was the owner of Ed Hammen Tile Company in Joppa, MD. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he served during the Vietnam War. An avid boater, he was a member of the American Legion and the Joppa Magnolia Fire Company where he was past ambulance chief.

Mr. Hammen is survived by his wife, Norma J. Lytle Hammen of Joppa, MD; a son, Edward G. Hammen Jr. of Newberry, FL; four brothers, Tom E. Hammen of Edgewood, MD, Jim Hammen of Hampstead, MD, Steve Hammen of Baltimore, MD, and George Hammen of Joppa, MD; one sister, Joan Johns of Perry Hall, MD; and three grandchildren, Haleigh M. Hammen, Casey L. Hammen, and Hunter L. Hammen, all of Newberry, FL.
