Edward Franklin ''Frank'' Salmons

November 27, 1916 — November 5, 2012

Edward Franklin "Frank" Salmons, age 95, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on November 5, 2012 at Brightview Senior Living in Bel Air, MD. Born in Boone, NC, he was the son of the late Everett Glenn Salmons Sr. and Ruby Hill Lewis Graybeal. Following an active childhood and adolescence on the family farm in Harford County, Frank went on to graduate in 1938 with a Bachelor's degree from Asbury College in Kentucky. He retired after 40 years from Commercial Credit Corporation where he was the Director of Rate Calculations. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, as well, as the Commercial Credit Retired Men's Group. He loved to travel and had traveled all over the world in retirement. An avid duck pin bowler he also enjoyed all sports and playing golf with his son-in-law.

Mr. Salmons is survived by his daughter, Lynn S. Bower and her husband Gary, of Cockeysville, MD; his son , James F. Salmons and his wife, Timlynn, of Cedar Rapids, IA; stepdaughter-in-law, Nancy Worthington of Havre de Grace, MD; stepson, John Worthington of Churchville, MD; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Worthington of Havre de Grace, MD; sisters, Mary Wilson of Wilmington, DE, Anne Poole of Pylesville, MD, Betty Shafer of Bel Air, MD, Eleanor Ryan of Wilmington, DE; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wives, Mary Henderson Salmons and Gray Worthington Salmons; stepson, Randall Worthington, and four brothers.

Services will be private.

The family wishes to thank Diane Redman, Right at Home, for providing Frank with tender loving care for the past eight months. They also wish to thank the staff of Brightview in Bel Air, Wellspring Unit and Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Frank these past few weeks.
