Edward "Bud" C. Marecki

November 7, 1945 — February 10, 2022

Edward "Bud" C.  Marecki, age 76, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, at home in Bel Air, Maryland, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Edward and Marie (Chojnacki) Marecki and beloved husband of the late Danielle Marecki. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bud enjoyed his projects; he could build or fix anything with his extensive tool collection. He was detail-oriented and meticulous in everything he did from ironing his jeans to precisely chopping down a tree to building a motorcycle and shed. He loved fishing, boating, gardening, photography, listening to music and spending time with family and neighbors. He enjoyed drinking his coffee any time of day or a cold Coca Cola while bbqing hotdogs in the garage, savoring a Hershey’s bar, Fisher’s popcorn at Ocean City, homemade sauce, apple pie and strawberry shortcake; he did not like onions.  He adored his Labrador Retrievers, Sandy and Jack, and their zest for life. He cherished taking his grandchildren out on his boat, fishing, and teaching them to garden. He believed in keeping life simple, living in the moment and loved peace and quiet. If asked, he would tell you to take the scenic route and the long way home.

Edward is survived by his two loving daughters, Kimberly (John) Nagy, Jennifer (Manuel) Marecki-Alvarez; stepson, Christopher (Jessica) Jones; six grandchildren, Jacob Nagy, Ben Nagy, Mila Alvarez, Gabriel Alvarez, Natalie Jones, and Maisy Jones; three sisters, Janet (John) Reuter, Mary Ann Kennedy, Susan Marecki; first wife and mother of Kimberly and Jennifer, Therese Hentges; dear friend, Sean Harris and family; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Alexander Marecki; mother, Marie Mary Marecki; and loving wife, Danielle Mary Marecki.
