Edna V. Ellis

EDNA V. ELLIS, age 86, of Darlington, MD, died on December 10, 2007 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Kate and Mamie Florence Morton. She was employed by Harford Community College for 12 years before retiring in 1992. She was well liked around the community and enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and sitting on her front porch to watch the hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hoyie Ellis of Darlington, MD; one son, Robert “Bobby” Ellis of Darlington, MD; five daughters, Wilma I. Anthony of Marathon, FL, Nora F. Temple of Pylesville, MD, Rita R. Dalton of Airville, PA, Arbutus Kyzer of Myakka City, FL and Loretta S. Bemcomo of Tucson, AZ; sixteen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Geraldine Ellis and JoAnn Green Clark.
