Edna Mcvicker Jones

Edna McVicker Jones, age 79, of Edgewood, MD, died on September 15, 2011 at Franklin Square Hospital in Rossville, MD. Born in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rex Arthur McVicker and Josephine May Hayhurst, and wife, for 50 years, of the late William Albert Jones. She had worked as a teacher for the Baltimore County Board of Education and was a member of Edgewood Senior Center, as well as, Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edgewood, MD. She enjoyed reading her Bible and liked to do oil painting and play bingo. She loved her family and spending time with them.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, William Albert Jones III of Baltimore, MD; daughters, Karen B. Duncan of Dundalk, MD and Dolores A. Ails of Rising Sun, MD; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sons, Joseph A. Jones and David Jones; and brother, Rex Arthur McVicker Jr.
