Edna Marie Blevins Watson

Edna Marie Watson (nee Blevins), age 92, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on Easter Sunday April 8, 2012 at Rock Spring Village in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Grassy Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claude Lee and Mamie Faye Hoppers Blevins and wife of the late John R. Watson. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 60 years, she retired, after 20 years, from Aberdeen Proving Ground where she was an Education Technician.

Mrs. Watson is survived by daughters, Shirley S. Surrett and husband, Gerald, of Bel Air, MD and Margie J. Rodgers and husband, John, of Arlington, TX; brothers, J. Lannis Blevins of Bedford, PA and S. Jack Blevins of Grassy Creek, NC; sisters, Velma C. Blackwell of Martinsville, VA and Anna Jean Dent of Vinton, VA; and grandchildren, Ashley S. Fifer of Astoria, NY, Hillary L. Fifer of Abingdon, MD and Devin W. Rodgers of Arlington, TX. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her siblings, Leila Blevins (infant), Roger D. Blevins, Odis L. Blevins, Allie Tharon Hubbard and Carrie Evelyn Ball.

Pallbearers will be Paul Ostheimer, Charles Nichols, John H. Rodgers, Devin W. Rodgers, Gerald W. Surrett, Leif R. Fifer, Philip Watson, Ronald R. Watson and Gary L. Holloway.
