EDMUND JAMES MAZAN, age 78, of Baltimore, formerly of Harford County, died in Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD on January 17, 2003. Born in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Valerie Pasek Mazan. He had retired in 1986 after 37 years of service with Baltimore County as a highway inspector. All of his life he enjoyed designing and building model airplanes, and reading.
Mr. Mazan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Verna Ray Spicer Mazan; two sons, David Edmund Mazan of Rossville, Maryland; Bernard James Mazan of Milford, Ohio; two daughters, Nancy Verna Garey of Rossville; Kathleen Marie Santoro of Baldwin, Maryland; one brother, Melvin Joseph Mazan of Bel Air; and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Edmund Mazan and Casmar Mazan and a sister, Salome Mazan.
