Edith Tilley Keen

Edith Tilley Keen, age 93, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on November 12, 2012 at Calvert Manor in Rising Sun, MD. Born in Mt. Airy, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Blaine and Fannie Henrietta Coleman Tilley and wife of the late George Melvin Keen Jr., who she married on February 23, 1946 in Bel Air, MD. She had worked as a secretary at Edgewood Arsenal and enjoyed needlepoint and crochet. She also liked to golf, bowl in leagues and ride horses.

Mrs. Keen is survived by her sister, Mary Nell Tilley Kincaid of Port Deposit, MD; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Nancy Street; and ten nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Caroll Andrew Tilley; and sisters, Florence Elizabeth Tilley Coxe and Blaine Ophelia Tilley.
