Edith Sullivan

Edith Sullivan, 85, of Joppa, MD, passed away on February 25, 2015 at her home. Born in North Wilkesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Effie Sheets. She retired after 30 years from Bata Shoe Company, after which time she helped raise two more generations of children which she loved dearly. She was an active member of New Life Baptist Church in White Marsh and loved to travel everywhere.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband of 59 years, William M. Sullivan; son, Elbert Shepherd of North Carolina; daughter, Margie Sexton of Edgewood; grandchildren, Donald Gene Churby, Amy Denise Ouadda, Judy Shepherd Williams and Darrell Shepherd; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sister, Raydell Johnson of North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Roger Lee Shepherd; brothers, Paul and Odell Sheets; and sister, Ellie Blevins.
