Edith Mardel Gregory

EDITH MARDEL GREGORY, age 82, of Havre de Grace, MD, died at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, MD, on September 19, 2006. Born in Street, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander and Edith Irwin Crowl and the wife of the late Mason Gregory. She retired from Edgewood Arsenal after 42 years of service where she was a computer operator. She was proud to have been raised on her family’s farm in Harford County on Grier Nursery Road in Street and was proud to have celebrated her 53rd wedding anniversary with her husband. She enjoyed plants, puzzles, and crocheting; adored her two doberman pincher dogs, Katie and Duke; and doted on her grandsons.

Mrs. Gregory is survived by two daughters, Myra G. Hartwig of Havre de Grace, MD and Melissa E. Jamison of Abingdon, MD; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Waltman of Bel Air, MD; four grandchildren, Timothy William Hartwig of Bel Air, MD, Stephen Thomas Hartwig of Havre de Grace, MD, Tanya L. Hash of Edgewood, MD and Nichole R. Nelson of North Carolina; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Manuel Crowl and Vinton LeRoy Crowl and two sisters, Dora Lucille Cullum and Bertha Bernice Carr.
