Ed J. Horn

Edward "Ed" J. Horn, age 89, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on October 23, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in York, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer Edward Horn Sr. and Belle Angela Stine Horn and husband of the late Kathleen S. Smoot Horn. He was a foreman and worked for the State of Maryland working on state roads where he retired after 33 years. He was well known and loved by all he met.

Mr. Horn is survived by his daughter, Sharon Pennington of Street, MD; brother, George Horn Whitacre of PA; sisters, Esther Guilt of PA, Betty Horn of MD and Fern Vaught of MD; grandchildren, Chris Pennington of Havre de Grace, MD and Jackie Pennington of Street, MD; and great-grandchildren, Brian Pennington of Bel Air, MD, Dakota Pennington of Street, MD, Mitchell Pennington, Amber Pennington, Trevor Pennington, and Dustan Pennington all of Culpeper, VA.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Horn was predeceased by his brothers, Charles and Elmer Jr. and sisters, Viola, Ruth, Carrie and Claire.

Pallbearers will be Chris, Jackie, Brian, and Dakota Pennington, Robert Livezey and Larry Darnell.
